Stay-At-Home Spa Day

Note: Even if you're reading this and not currently under quarantine, some of the contents of this post can be used anyway.

I would love to say that a quarantine spa day is just as fun as a regular one, but it's not. I mean, there's way less people and you have to do it at home instead of going to an actual spa. But they're not without benefits. Consider the following:

  1. You get to pick the music, spa treatments, etc.
  2. It's quieter. Just tell everyone else in your house to leave you alone and call it good.
  3. No waiting for that magazine.
  4. No holding off painting your toes when you don't want people to see your feet.
  5. No shared spa treatments.
  6. It's cheaper. You need less supplies if you're the only one using them.
Of course, all these benefits are just the same if you are having a single-person spa day, quarantine or no quarantine.

You can either go to the store and buy spa treatments, or make your own. Of course, it always pays to keep extras on hand. I will not be including any recipes in this post, but I may make a future one.

If you don't want to buy a full size product but are eager to try it out, consider getting travel-sized products, then, if you like them, buying full-sized. (Just FYI, don't use the TRY ME products, they're  really unsanitary.)

If you're wondering what kind of spa treatments to make/buy/use, read the following:

Note: Some of these spa treatments can be done with other people, or in a regular spa day.

  1. Manicures and Pedicures. Put lotion on your hands and feet and give yourself the whole treatment if you want.
  2. Hairstyling. Try out some new braids, perfect that messy bun, or rock some curls or straight hair, depending on what kind of hair you naturally have.
  3. Makeup. Put on all kinds of looks you could never wear in public. Always wondered how you'd look in purple lipstick? Try it out! It could be your new everyday look...Or a total disaster that has you looking like a zombie. But hey, no one's around to see you!
  4. Facial Care. Scrubs, moisturizers, all of it! Make your own, try new ones out, whatever you want, it's your spa day.
  5. Bubble baths. Cheap, relaxing, and something you can do to take advantage of your alone time.
  6. Anything else you can think of.
Have fun on your Quarantine Spa Day! Comment down below what you did, along with any recipes you might want to share.
