How To Wear A Monochromatic Look

Monochromatic looks are made of just one color, but in different shades. A great thing about monochromatic looks is that you can wear any color you want. If you look great in blue, think of how good you'll look wearing so many different shades of it!

Once you pick a color, look for all the items you have in that color. Lay them all ou and try to find what looks good together. This step takes longer the more clothes you have in that color. Once you have the outfit picked out, work on adding accessories.

Balance out your outfit. If you're wearing a flowing top, pair it with skinny jeans or leggings. Wear a tighter top when you have a a skirt. This rule is important in all outfits, not just monochromatic ones.

Patterns add excitement to an otherwise boring outfit. But it can be difficult finding patterns that match you outfit. A striped scarf that's both light and dark blue would fit perfectly with a blue monochromatic look.

Monochromatic looks are great for petite women because wearing one color can make them look taller and slimmer.

An easy way to wear a monochromatic look is by wearing a dress or jumpsuit. If you're wearing a red dress, just add red heels and a gorgeous red handbag.

When wearing an all black outfit, add a pop of color with bright red lipstick. Makeup will enhance the outfit.

Navy and black are close in color, so wearing them together as a monochromatic look still counts. At least, it does in my opinion.

If you're wearing all red or all pink, don't wear red or pink lipstick as well. Instead, go for either nude lipstick or the opposite color. The same rule applies to eyeshadow.

Start with neutrals like black, tan, white, or navy before moving on to brighter colors. Blue and red are both great colors to start with. Wear a blue shirt over blue jeans for a natural look. Add blue heels and a sapphire bracelet or necklace to complete the look.

Monochromatic looks are chic, and while all black is probably the coolest of them all, any color can look great if you do it right.

All white is cool, but there aren't as many shades as, say, blue, so getting the perfect look can be difficult.
